Assignment for 3/8

Show me what you know!!

Use your sketch book (1 page per assignment) to create an illustrated story (sketch note style) that demonstrates your understanding of the Ecology and Cells unit. Include as many topics as you can, basically show me how much you learned in the previous units.

Illustrations MUST include:
1.       Actual drawings (content related images)
2.       Clarity (Your descriptions/explanations are clear and easy to understand)
3.       Neat/readable handwriting
4.       Comparisons for Each topic included in the illustration (ex. Active Transport is like a person walking down an UP escalator, maybe a drawing of the escalator and an arrow pointing down, which shows them going against the gradient a.k.a high to low).
5.       Accurate information in YOUR OWN WORDS (DON’T just copy the words from Google or textbook, but put it into your own words by paraphrasing or summarizing)
Due: Monday 3/11

Cell Organelle Booklet Instructions

Create a Children's Booklet to explain the functions of the cell organelles by comparing their functions to something that a young child might relate to.
Books should include:

1. Picture of organelle or the comparison
2. Description of the comparison or analogy (why you are comparing them)
3. Functions of the organelle included.
4. Show some effort (neatness, color, creativity)

Week of 1/14-1/18

This week in Biology we will learn how to graph data properly, how to use the Elements and Principles of Art, and how to view and sketch things using a Light-Compound Microscope.

We will start with the Characteristics of Life, then move to the Elements/Principles of Art, to graphing, and then the Scientific Method.

We will use Labs, Activities, Projects, Gimkit, and a study guide to practice our skills in order to prepare for an assessment at the End of the week or Monday.

1ST QUIZ GRADES HAVE BEEN ENTERED, AND GRADE CHECKPOINTS ARE DUE TOMORROW!!
